Kurt
Kreisher learned to swim in Mission Beach when he was only
3 years old. He stood up on his first surfboard at the age
of 12. Since his first wave Kurt developed a passion for the
ocean that will remain with him for the rest of his life.
Kurt's love of riding waves translated into his love for
riding mountains. Currently he is a level 3 trainer/examiner
for the American Association of Snowboard Instructors. Kurt
spends his winters in Jackson Hole, Wyoming teaching and coaching
snowboarding. He also still competes and is on the R&D
team for Winterstick Snowboards. Kurt has taught snowboarding
for 14 seasons including 3 in Australia.
In the summer Kurt lives in Pacific Beach, California and
is currently spending his fourth year teaching surfing. He
has managed day camps for kids and adults as well as taught
private lessons from people between the ages of 4 and 68.
His passion for surfing has brought him around the world to
places like Venezuela, Australia, Mexico and both coasts of
the US. Kurt is currently certified in life saving techniques
